A Call to Battle

 

Now is the time for all good men and women to get off their butts and start kicking ass.  Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi – never mind that the much touted emails were misrepresented and apparently altered by the Republicans, or that the same Rightwing stooges holding hearings striped millions from State’s budget just before the attack.  AP phone records, AP phone records, AP phone records, – never mind that Darrell Issa, a modern day High Inquisitor using partisan politics as the church once used religion, voted against The Free Flow of Information Act of 2007 that would have protected the AP from Justice subpoenas. The law had a provision that expressly forbid subpoenaing journalists phone records from “communication service providers” even as it protected the journalists.  Notwithstanding its passage in the House it was defeated by – you guessed it – filibuster.  Therefore, it can be argued that DOJ was following the letter and the spirit of existing legal thought.  IRS, IRS, IRS – never mind that the Bush Administration engaged the IRS, the CIA, the Secret Service and the FBI to investigate some Liberal Churches and organizations for daring to speak against the War in Iraq.

Through all this tommyrot and tripe our president stands before the microphone cool and impeccable, uttering only tempered indignation.  All righty Mr. President, it is time to pull up your Humphrey Bogart jockstrap and start knocking some god-damned heads together.  Enough of this retreating into your vast reserve and aloofness; enough of the Axelrod/Plouffe milk and toast strategy of rising above it all – you are in it now up to your gorgeous eyes.  The only way out is to slug your way out.  Start landing some punches – a left, a right and a solid uppercut.  Don’t want to be called an angry black man?  How would you like to go down in the history books as the most scandal ridden president since Grant?  Call the game on these lying, hypocritical, political vampires because they will never stop.

Impeachment my Aunt Rosie’s girdle, Inhofe style boneheaded blowhards don’t want to deal with old Joe Bidden.  He is a real fighting Liberal who takes no prisoners.  What the mutts in the media call gaffs are really just a committed man speaking his mind – media be damned as well they should.  Remember he learned his craft from politicians modeled on the likes of Lyndon Baines Johnson who would have kicked the wharf rats currently infesting the Capital down the Mall and straight into the Potomac without disturbing the symmetry of his tie.
