Where Ya Been, Jack?

The Clintons lead the world in backing themselves into a corner with the appearance of impropriety. Currently it is the Clinton Foundation and the State Department. This is the garbage that has eroded her public favorability. Did donors to the Clinton Foundation pay for access to Secretary of State Clinton? Looks like it. Did those donors get anything else in return for donations to the Clinton Foundation? No evidence of that. Still, you would think that people who are planning a family tradition of running for president would be a little more careful about feeding a perpetual scandal machine red meat.
Having said all of this, two questions are submitted for your consideration. First, where in the hell is all this press indignation and investigative journalism when access and influence are peddled day by day in the brothel on Capital Hill? Since Citizens United the public trust has been sold-out and betrayed in unprecedented ways. Not a word from the MSM. In fact they made fun of Bernie Sanders for taking it on, until it became clear just how fed up the people are with smarmy politicians selling their soul to stay in office. Over the last 24 hours I have Tweeted a number of media entities to ask them where the hell they have been while the interests of this country have consistently been sold to the highest bidder. No answer has been forthcoming.
Secondly, Donald Trump is pretending to be the moral conscience of this nation with regard to what he calls, "The Clinton Foundations pay for play" agenda. He has also freely admitted to purchasing access and influence from anyone of a number of whores in public office. In street parlance that would make him a john or a trick. Now, why in hell would I trust the buyer over the seller in such an immoral bargain?

We Hate You, Come Visit

I am furious at the MSM for its need to stir-up and cover scandals rather then cover the issues in this election. To wit: Obama should have been in Louisiana earlier - my Aunt Rosie's girdle he should have been. The last thing first responders and medical personnel need is a political dog and pony show, complete with guards and grand-standers, roaring into the scene. The media scarcely covered the flood until Trump decided to stage a photo op there, handing out Play-Doh of all damn things. What the fuck did he expect people to do, stick their homes back together?
Two things are particularly egregious here. First, the bloody media created Trump's campaign. If it hadn't been for all the free coverage he received - exploited and now trashed by the candidate - I doubt that he would have made it through the first debate. Secondly, why in the bloody hell did they want Mr. Obama down there? The Secret Service wasn't about to allow him to ride around in boats rescuing people or bail water out of homes. He isn't a doc, a paramedic, a cop or a fire fighter. Let us be clear, Bush wasn't criticized for not coming to New Orleans. He was criticized for sending a thoroughly incompetent FEMA director to lead a pathetic intervention effort. Finally, Obama unlike Trump the Chump had no intention of defying the governor's request in order to exploit a national tragedy for political gain.
It is time for the American people to give its so called free press a kick in the ass. Start writing to these idiots. If you aren't on Twitter, think about getting on Twitter. Use email, snail-mail, phones, or smoke signals to contact them. The jackass in the Tweet below is a particularly smug and arrogant little parasite. It took three minutes to write to him and tell him what I think.
As to President Obama, I have never been a fan of many of his policies or an apologist for his administration. Still, no president, and I remember Ike, has ever been so maligned, disparaged, denigrated and slandered. He will leave the Oval Office in a few months; and if he isn't happy to go or can't see his way clear to walk out of the front door with his middle finger in the air, I will be happy for him and happy to lend him mine.

Survival and Surrender

Summer is moving away slowly, one degree at a time. She is taking her dryness and her dusty winds as she goes. In the early mornings it is sweater weather, and you can taste Autumn in the dawn. The ravages of the season are visible everywhere - sunburn, scorch, death and the dreary complexion of plants living with drought stress.
Now and then on the soil, so very tired of trying to support life to spite the elements, you will see a waxy yellow or orange leaf amid the debris of Summer's excess. The rose and other blooming perennials gather their courage, push growth, set bloom and seed in preparation for their last lovely show when the air is crisp and chilled once again.
Regardless of what imbecile is on the national stage, what foolish drama is played out in the theater of our arrogance, Goddess' green world suffers, survives and surrenders the beauty that is its mandate. Anyone who thinks that we will destroy this planet need only study the flower as it flourishes, endures and flourishes again. Earth will live, lush and magnificent, long after we have devoured ourselves with greed, materialism and ego. Blessed Be.

A Good Laugh and A Dumb Move

Want a laugh? Try this - a government, both sides of the aisle, grounded in legalized corruption; a party, the McConnell/Ryan party, that promoted said corruption to crime syndicate proportions through Citizens United has taken time out from performing for donors in G-string and pasties to wax morally offended about emails that raise the question of impropriety by the Clinton State Department and Clinton Foundation.
What isn't funny about this particular bit of political slapstick is that once again the Clinton's have allowed the appearance of said impropriety to take up another news cycle. As my Uncle Tony used to say in his broken English, "Jesus he jumped up Christ in a street car" stop the drip, drip, drip and release the goddamned things. Like my beloved Bernie, I am sick of hearing about your emails, Hillary.
